Baskets of Flowers Colourwork Sweater

This is a pattern for an amazing sweater with a colourwork motif featuring baskets of flowers! Such a cute design, and perfect for using up some scraps. The original colours for the baskets were 'Honey Gold', brown, red, green, pink and blue. The pattern is taken from the Woolworths Economy Knitting Book no. 23. This book is from the 1940s and features women’s and men’s clothing items, including sweaters, cardigans and dresses. 

The size is for a 32-34 inch bust. 

Materials required:

• 11 skeins Woolworth’s Super 3-ply fingering wool. This wool can be substituted with modern materials to achieve a gauge of 7 stitches x 9 rows for 1 x 1”. 
• Knitting needles size UK 10/3.25mm.
• Knitting needles size UK 12/2.75mm.   
• 4 buttons.
